I actually think that the Digg Effect is one of the strongest selling points of Digg. Without it, many people may not feel as attracted to the idea of making Digg's front page. In reality, it won't really matter whether a cached page is offered or not - besides, how often do you check Google's cached page? - but that might not be easily understood.

As far as applying it to the original coRank site, we will probably do it, but not yet.

This is a great feature. I'm sure that sites like Digg will eventually copy this feature to remove the "Digg Effect". I'm just glad that coRank is the first to use this idea.

Can we get this feature in the "real" coRank? I would love to see something like this in use.

Actually our idea is to eventually get rid of the Adults section in the main coRank site, and redirect people who are posting, viewing, commenting, etc. in this area to any of the already existing adult sites.

I tried out the "Talking About" feature on the main coRank site, and have to say that I love it. It is a great way to see what the other coRanking community likes enough to actually post a comment in this, um, desert of hardly any comments... However, I feel that this feature can be improved.

As I look at the comments, I see that many of them are for articles posted in the Adult section. I am glad that this section is hidden by default, but it is possible to get to this section from these articles. Can there be a way to select which sections you want to see (like check boxes) and be able to edit them later (with the adult section hidden by default, of course)?

Thanks for all the updates to this site, it's really improving a lot. I would hate to have this site die out.

We won't be adding the possibility to add more than one image per story, but read answer to #3

Still thinking about this one. We have a couple of ideas to make it feasible without opening the door to spammers, but we want to brainstorm a bit more.

6 and 7 will be coming after our API is launched. So we're talking sometime early August.

I doubt we'll go over 30 categories for a while.

Added to the to-do list but honestly, this is added as a low priority.

That would be helpful, yes. We're already wortking on a better voting widget for external sites, but it will probably go out after the API.

The more I use corank, the more features I wish were there. Would be great if you could let us know if / when the following requests might be available.

1. increasing word count in stories without a link to 5000 or more.

2. images within the story submission. basically, multiple images with a story. (Is this possible by uploading images in say, photobucket or something, and embedding with HTML?)

3. ability to allow or disallow specific HTML within the story submission. So that we can offer a link or more within the story.

Matt - The limit is 5,000, not 500 �right?

TWD - coRank still doesn't offer a button that includes the count (it will soon) but if you go to the Tools page (left menu option), in the "Add a Submit to..." section you can see the code to put a submit/vote button. For Blogger you'll need to replace some values with the equivalent Blogger code (such as for the URL).

Note that for a particular site, you'll need to visit the Tools menu at that site to get the correct code.

And as I said, expect new buttons w/ more functionality coming soon!
